This hop is all about the author’s work in progress…
My work in progress is the sequel to my young adult paranormal novel, Strong as Death, which is published by Jupiter Gardens Press.
1. What is the name of your character? Is he/she fictional or historical?
Ilona Raynham…and she’s definitely fictional.
2. When and where is the story set?
modern day, Brooklyn, NY
3. What should we know about your character?
She was born of a modern woman but fathered by a ghost, which, as she’s discovered, has given her certain abilities. And has also gained her some enemies.
4. What is their main conflict? What messes up his/her life?
In Strong as Death, Ilona’s sheltered life turns sideways and will never be the same. In Awaken from Death, she discovers she’s unique in more than just her parentage; she’s also the oldest soul currently inhabiting the earth. And a demon is out to destroy her…but is that demon her boyfriend?
5. What is the personal goal of your character?
At the beginning of Awaken from Death, she’s just trying to get through life. By the end, she’s fighting for her life, and for her love.
6. Is there a working title for this novel, can we read more about it?
Awaken from Death is the title of the new book. Strong as Death is available now at these retailers: Amazon Barnes&Noble JupiterGardensPress Or for more information, click on the Strong as Death page above.

Haley Whitehall lives in Washington State where she enjoys all four seasons and the surrounding wildlife. She writes historical fiction and historical romance set in the 19th century U.S. When she is not researching or writing, she plays with her cats, watches the Western and History Channels, and goes antiquing. She is hoping to build a time machine so she can go in search of her prince charming. A good book, a cup of coffee, and a view of the mountains make her happy.
